The measurements of the punt bottom are not given in the plans. i suppose the purpose is to assemble the frames, sides and transoms, and then draw the shape of the bottom onto the plywood using the assembled upper part of the boat as a template. this is just the way to go. are the lower edges of the sides drawn with a help of a batten? yes..
